This train is still bound for glory

Dear Editor,

I read with great interest the quote from Dorothea Farris that rail was dead in the Roaring Fork Valley. Well, for you rail fans out there, this is just to let you know that railroading is alive and well and thriving here in the Crystal River Valley in the hands of the Redstone Hysterical (whoops!) Historical Preservation Commission.

The next railroading event will be at the Redstone Inn, Osgood Room, on May 21. Is the rumor true that Peter Martin is the conductor on this train to nowhere?
