Timothy J. Rodgers

Timothy J. Rodgers, age 50, of Fairview, Pa., and formerly of Rifle, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 after a lengthy illness.

Tim was born May 24, 1955, in Canonsburg, Pa., to Elizabeth Vercek Rodgers and the late Earl “Casey” Rodgers.

He was a 1973 graduate of McDowell High School. He had been a plant operator at the Natural Soda Company in Meeker, and had a special love for the vistas of Colorado and his friends there. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tim also had a special love for his family.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth, of Fairview; brother, David E. (Cynthia) Rodgers, of Girard, Pa.; sisters Linda (Richard) May, of Erie, Betsy Rodgers, of Erie, and Amy (Edward) Shadle, of Canfield, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, three great-nephews and a great-niece.

Friends may call the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday to express their condolences.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7100 West Ridge Road in Fairview, with Father J. Thomas Dugan presiding. Burial will be private. Condolences or flowers can be sent to http://www.burtonfuneralhome.com.
