Bureau of Land Management staff will be available specifically to discuss the Roan Plateau draft management plan from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Glenwood Springs Field Office. Plan documents also may be picked up at the office, or found on-line at http://www.roanplateau.ene.com.Three initial public meetings on the plan are scheduled:• Dec. 13, Battlement Mesa Activity Center, 0398 Arroyo Drive, Battlement Mesa.• Dec. 15, Garfield County Fairgrounds, “new hall” building, 1001 Railroad Ave., Rifle.• Dec. 16, Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road, Glenwood Springs.All meetings will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m.The official 90-day public comment period won’t begin until the draft plan is published in the Federal Register, probably on Dec. 3. However, public comments are being accepted now. They can be submitted in writing to Roan Plateau Comments – Greg Goodenow, BLM Glenwood Springs Field Office, 50629 Highway 6, Glenwood Springs, 81601, or at the above-mentioned Web site.The BLM asks that comments be as specific as possible.
