Tomas Garcia, 78, passed away July 21, 2006, in Grand Junction. He was born March 7, 1928, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose and Aurelia (Gonzales) Garcia. He married Maria del Carmen Aragon Jan. 5, 1958, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He worked in America for the Bracero Program during World War II, when all of the American youth were gone to war. Tomas is survived by his wife, Maria; sons Mardocheo, Obed, Othoniel, Elias and Eliseo; daughters Ruth and Hulda; brother Estanislao; and 13 grandchildren.Services were held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Glenwood Springs on July 22, 2006, with burial following in Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. Farnum-Holt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
