Too many liberals on GSPI Commentary page

R.T. Moolick

Dear Editor,

I was disappointed to open up the paper Feb. 27 and see Donald Kaul occupying the first three columns of the Commentary page with his column, “Bush, a disaster of historic proportions.” His column is absurd, and smacks of material from the “Workers World Party,” the tiny Marxist-Leninist party, also calling itself International A.N.S.W.E.R. These are all products of that time in history, 1959, when the Communist Party of the United States went underground, with many infiltrating our universities.

I remember in 1960 being involved in some labor negotiations and sitting directly across from three card-carrying communists. That year was the last I saw of communists who flaunted their communist leanings in the labor field.

And then, the last two columns on the Commentary page were taken with Bernie Boettcher’s column titled “Wondering why W wants to wage war.”

This Commentary page doesn’t speak very well for a newspaper which should be representing Western Colorado, not Aspen.

Sincerely,

R.T. Moolick
