Doug Rohrbaugh’s 50th birthday brought with it some new competitive opportunities, of which the head professional at Ironbridge Golf Club took full advantage.
Shooting a 67 at The Heritage at Westmoor at a sectional qualifier in Westminster, Rohrbaugh qualified for the U.S. Senior Open in his first attempt.
The late-June feat earned the Oregon native and Roaring Fork Valley resident a trip to Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Michigan for the prestigious U.S. Senior Open.
Rohrbaugh’s first U.S. Senior Open lasted two rounds, as he missed the cut and did not make the weekend competition.
