Glenwood Springs has loads of fun planned for partygoers.One of the city’s top attractions, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, offers Toast at the Top on Sunday, Dec. 31. What makes this venue fun is the ride up to the top of Iron Mountain on the tram with it’s splendid view of the city lights and the Roaring Fork Valley.Festivities begin at 8 p.m. with a gourmet buffet at Exclamation Point restaurant featuring appetizer, salad, pasta, carving (roast beef) and dessert stations. There’s a champagne toast at midnight and revelers will take home noise makers and a commemorative champagne flute.After dinner, dance to the classic rock and roll of the Dags.The price is $55 per person for season ticket holders and $65 for those without passes.”It’s usually a sell out,” said Caverns spokeswoman Mandy Gauldin. “It’s one of the Cavern’s most popular events.”

This is a perfect event for the family. The non-alcoholic party will include lots of noisemakers, party hats and the big countdown to midnight. Phat Thai restaurant, 343 Main St., Carbondale and the Stomparillaz will host a New Year’s Eve party beginning at 10 p.m. The theme is “Black Thai Phat Thai face painting.” $5 at the door. The Stomparillaz will also organize a pre-party body painting application.
The Redstone Inn in Redstone hosts New Year’s Eve dinner and a 70s dance party with the Strolling Scones. $55 per person. There’s limited seating so reservations are recommended, 963-2526.
