Police are asking for information about a trailer stolen from the new south parking lot at Glenwood Springs High School. The trailer was associated with the ongoing construction and was a 2002, black, three-axle gooseneck style trailer, according to Glenwood Springs Police Chief Terry Wilson. It had a generator, a plate tamper and other construction equipment on it. The license plate read “387GJW,” police said.A gooseneck trailer has an arching piece of metal that connects to a special hitch inside the bed of a truck.Wilson said it was reported that someone in Silt stole a Bobcat excavator last night.”Oddly enough, the trailer that we had stolen here would quite easily accommodate a Bobcat,” he said, adding it sounds like someone may be trying to outfit some kind of landscaping or construction operation by stealing items.Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to call 384-6500 or visit Pete Fowler: 945-8515, ext. 16611 pfowler@postindependent.comPost Independent, Glenwood Springs Colorado CO
