TRIDENT officers make cocaine arrests

Two Glenwood Springs men have been arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession after an investigation by the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team.

Eliazar Patino-Martinez, 20, and Luis Javier Cruz-Ortega, 21, both of 0084 County Road 135, were arrested after TRIDENT and Glenwood police received information Aug. 13 of drug activity taking place at the suspects’ home.

Officers received permission to search the residence and found the two men to be in possession of 3.82 grams of suspected cocaine, according to a news release from TRIDENT.

Possession of cocaine is a class 4 felony with a sentencing range of 1 to 12 years in prison and fine of $2,000 to $500,000.

TRIDENT is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force funded through federal, state and local governments.
