TRIDENT officers seize 26.3 grams of cocaine

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. – The Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team seized 26.3 grams of cocaine on Jan. 5 after an undercover purchase in Carbondale, TRIDENT announced Monday.TRIDENT arrested Carlos Ponce Tapia, 51, and Sergio Antonio Acura Raygoza, 36. Both men were held on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to distribute, unlawful distribution and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.Undercover officers approached Tapia, who set up a cocaine transaction with Raygoza, TRIDENT said. Raygoza gave the suspected cocaine to Tapia, who in turn gave it to an undercover officer. The undercover officer gave Tapia $400 at the time of transaction and Tapia gave the $400 to Raygoza. Once Raygoza was contacted he was found to be in possession of an additional 11 grams packaged for distribution, according to TRIDENT.Post Independent, Glenwood Springs Colorado CO
