TRIDENT on the lookout for New Castle man

The Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team is searching for a New Castle man it says sold undercover agents 8.4 grams of cocaine since the beginning of May.TRIDENT allegedly bought cocaine from Javier Mojarro-Saldania in a West Glenwood parking lot on three occasions – cocaine they estimate has a street value of $900.Mojarro-Saldania, of New Castle, could face charges of possession of a Class II substance, possession with the intent to distribute, and distribution of a controlled substance, all of which are felonies. TRIDENT is asking anyone with information of Mojarro-Saldania’s whereabouts to call 945-8790. In a separate June 18, incident TRIDENT received information that Ryan Sims, 22, of Glenwood Springs, carried cocaine and a handgun to Strawberry Days in Glenwood Springs. Garfield County sheriff’s deputies and Glenwood Springs Police officers contacted Sims shortly thereafter, and found 16.4 grams of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $1,640, but no handgun.Sims was arrested and transported to the Garfield County Jail, on suspicion of possession, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, unlawful use of a controlled substance, and violation of bail bond conditions. Possession with intent to distribute cocaine is a felony punishable by two to 24 years in prison and $3,000 to $750,000 in fines.
