Troy Curtis Orth

Troy Curtis Orth, 48, of Silt, passed away unexpectedly March 10, 2009.

Troy was born March 5, 1961, in Eureka, S.D., to Raymond and Bernice (Biel) Orth.

He married Kimberly Kading Feb. 6, 1993, in Cheyenne Wells, Colo. Troy worked as a rig operator for the oil and gas industry for 28 years, moving to Silt six years ago from Vernal, Utah.



He loved NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt and most of all, his family.

Troy is survived by his wife; mother; son Curtis; daughters RaeAnna and Karissa; brothers Darcy, Perry and Tim; sisters Jewell, Sara, Sue, Pam and Kelly; and one grandchild on the way.



He was preceded in death by his father.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Troy Orth Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, call Deidra Standeford at (970) 785-2670 for account information.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Rifle Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Lightning Wireline Machine Shop in Rifle.
