Truck crash closes canyon for 3 hours

A truck hauling beer wrecked on Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon early Thursday morning, closing westbound lanes for about three hours.

The trucked rolled at about 2 a.m. on a curve about a half mile west of the Hanging Lake tunnels, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Crews were able to reopen the right lane by about 5 a.m.

The crash reportedly resulted in only minor injury to the driver. Information was unavailable Thursday on the driver’s name or the cause of the wreck.
