Two die in rollover at Interstate 70 milepost 82

Two people from Nebraska died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 70 Saturday night.According to a Colorado State Patrol press release, a 2003 Dodge pickup, driven by Gaylord Robinson, 63, was traveling westbound near I-70 milepost 82 at about 8:45 p.m. A deer was crossing the highway from the south, and the front right of the truck hit the deer. The driver lost control of the truck and it began rotating clockwise. It went off the north side of the roadway down a steep embankment and rolled 1 1/2 times. Neither the driver nor the passenger, Dian Robinson, 61, was wearing a seat belt; both were ejected and sustained fatal injuries. Based on preliminary investigations, Colorado State Patrol does not believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
