Two wanted in Phoenix shooting arrested near Rifle
RIFLE (AP) – Two people wanted for questioning in a fatal shooting in Phoenix have been arrested in western Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol said 31-year-old Allen Robinson and 30-year-old Susan Gonzalez were taken into custody Tuesday morning on Interstate 70 near Rifle. Two children traveling with them, an 11-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were placed in the care of state social workers.
The patrol said Robinson and Gonzalez were wanted in connection with a May 6 shooting. Phoenix police believed the pair would be traveling through Colorado’s Garfield County on Tuesday and asked the patrol for help finding them.
Phoenix police say Robinson is considered a suspect in the fatal drive-by shooting of 20-year-old Francisco Juarez.
It isn’t immediately clear why Gonzalez is being questioned in the case.
