Vail, Loveland passes re-opened

VAIL, Colo. (AP) ” Highway crews reopened Interstate 70 before 10:30 a.m. in both directions over Vail Pass after doing work for avalanche control.

U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass has also reopened after being shut down because of poor conditions.

Vail Pass stands 10,600 feet above sea level and is about five miles east of Vail and 70 miles west of Denver.



Loveland Pass is nearly 12,000 feet above sea level and 50 miles west of Denver.
