Vail Pass closed as spring storm continues to bring snow to Colorado’s mountains

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 closed over Vail Pass around 3 p.m. Friday.

Interstate 70 eastbound over Vail Pass closed Friday afternoon, according to an Eagle County Alert.

The closure begins at East Vail, or Exit 180, and is in place due to safety concerns, according to COTrip.org.

Inclement weather has closed I-70 in multiple locations throughout the day.
