Vail Pass open but moving slowly
VAIL, Colorado ” The forecast for snow in the Vail Valley came true. Snow accumulations are expected to range between 2 and 4 inches for Thursday, with a 40 percent chance of snow on Friday.
Reports of traffic on I-70 indicate slow going in both eastbound and westbound lanes near Vail Pass.
The weather front bringing in the moisture is also bringing in colder temperatures. Expect lows for Thursday and Friday night to dip into the 20s.
Weather into the weekend calls for partly cloudy skies, with highs in the 50s and 60s and overnight lows hovering around 32 degrees.

The family of Rosie Ferrin has worked to clean up and make safe again the old schoolhouse in downtown New Castle. Ferrin died this summer and had owned the building that included classrooms turned into apartments for years.
