Valley Wellness Centers holding health presentation

Valley Wellness Centers of Glenwood and Basalt will offer a free health presentation on Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at 1517 Blake Avenue, Suite 203 in Glenwood Springs. The featured speaker will be Jennifer Menegatti, B.S., C.F.C.E, a certified functional capacity evaluator. Functional capacity evaluation is a systematic process of assessing an individual’s physical capacities and functional abilities. It matches human performance levels to established norms or previous functional tests to determine the current level of functional physical ability. The evaluation can be useful to determine residual damage from trauma, such as automobile accidents, and to assist a medical staff to determine the need for additional therapy after an injury. For those concerned about their physical capacities following a physical trauma, this presentation will be of interest. The series is open to the public, and brings opportunities for individuals from all over the valley to learn about methods of preventative and maintenance health care.
