Vera Viola Andreatta

Vera Viola Andreatta, 90, passed away Aug. 10, 2007, due to natural causes. Vera was born Feb. 28, 1917, to Salvador T. and Anna Marie Andreatta on Four Mile Creek in Glenwood Springs. She moved to Denver in 1949, and worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years, and then was employed by Resale Flowers Co. for 10 years. She retired in 1985, and moved back to Glenwood Springs in 2000. Vera was very active in the Catholic Daughters. Vera is survived by nephews John Andreatta of Silt, Dean Andreatta of Glenwood Springs, and Floyd Andreatta of Grand Junction; nieces Charlotte Vailpando of Grand Junction, Vera Sirhan Of Canada, Barbara Andreatta of Silt, and Christina Baker of California; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Mary and Anna; brothers Savior, Rudolf, Dominic, and Henry; and niece Mary Diaz. Viewing will be at 2 p.m. and a rosary will be said at 7 p.m., both on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Farnum-Holt Chapel.A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at St. Stephen’s Church. Interment will be at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Catholic Charities or to Heritage Park Care Center/Garden Hall.
