Veterans Day events slated for Garfield County high schools, Habitat for Humanity

Veterans Day is coming up on Saturday. There are a few events for veterans and anyone who wants to honor them to attend. 

Coal Ridge High School has an event 8:15-11:30 a.m. Thursday in the cafeteria commons. There will be free coffee, tea, cocoa, donuts and other good things for every area veteran. Stop by and let students thank you for your service. Veterans are welcome to take it to go or stay and sip. Coal Ridge High School is located at 35947 U.S. Highway 6 in New Castle.

Glenwood High School is having a Veterans Day celebration on Thursday afternoon. In the GSHS gymnasium, veterans are invited to be honored at this assembly. Please arrive by 1 p.m. as the event starts at 1:25 p.m. Glenwood Springs High School is at 1521 Grand Ave.



On Saturday, there will be a Veterans Day BBQ at Habitat for Humanity ReStore of the Roaring Fork Valley. There will be grilled food and games to play. All donated items in-store are 50% off.
