Violet Mae Edwards Koski
Violet Mae Edwards Koski went to sleep in death at 8:45 a.m., March 13, 2010. She was 90 years old.
Violet was born Oct. 29, 1919 in Waukegan, Ill. She married Mertze Jacob Koski on July 27, 1940. They enjoyed sixty years of married life together. They raised their daughter, Karen Sutton; two sons, Kert and Kip, in Stow, Ohio. Mertze was a well-known architect there, and Violet was a school guidance counselor. They retired to Lake Worth, Fla.
When Mertze passed away in 2000, Violet moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to be with her two sons, their wives, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
All together, Violet is survived by her sister, Bette Richak of Lake Havasu, Ariz., one daughter, two sons, their spouses, and all of their children, including 13 grandsons; three granddaughters, two of their husbands; as well as 22 great-grandchildren; one nephew; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
There will be short private memorial for Violet on Sat. April. 3.
As she rests and awaits resurrection by her creator, we all reflect on Violet’s faithful, generous and loyal nature and anticipate being re-united with her in happier circumstances.
