Violet "Vi" M. Decker

Violet Decker, 84, passed away peacefully May 27, 2007, surrounded by the love of her family.She was the beloved wife of Russell Decker. Violet lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for many years and owned a business in Colorado.She will be sadly missed and forever loved. Survivors include children Mary Jo (George) Bailey of Bristol, Wis.; Terry Ann (Marc) Decker of Aspen, Russell Roger (Sharon) Decker Jr. of Glenwood Springs, Thomas Henry (Kathi) Decker of Littleton, and Timothy Wayne (Amy) Decker of Wauwatosa, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson. Friends may gather with the family from 1:30 p.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at St. Peter’s Church, 557 Lake Street, Antioch, Ill.A memorial service will also be held in Colorado at a future time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life in Kenosha, Wis., or the St. Luke’s Hospital Healing Garden. Altstadt-Tyborski Funeral Home in Milwaukee is entrusted with the arrangements.Online condolences may be sent to “Crossing the Bridge Together”
