Volunteers needed to help during hunting season

RIFLE, Colo. ” The Colorado Division of Wildlife is hosting a volunteer orientation in Rifle for anyone interested in helping with several upcoming projects.

The orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 7-8 p.m. at the Rifle Fire District Conference Room (1850 Railroad Ave).

Volunteers are needed to help with hunter information efforts for the upcoming big game hunting seasons. Information volunteers will assist hunters at the Rifle Chamber of Commerce on the days around the hunting seasons. Volunteers can also learn about habitat enhancement projects, animal trap-and-transplant operations and other upcoming wildlife activities where help is needed.
