Wanda Elizabeth Halsey

Wanda Elizabeth Halsey, 77, formerly of Glenwood Springs, died April 13, 2008, peacefully in her sleep at home in Pueblo. She was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Palmer, Tenn., to Frank and Annie Rankin. Wanda devoted her life to her family and friends. She loved bingo, road trips and the many close friendships she had made throughout her lifetime. She is survived by son Howard E. Halsey of Buffalo, Wyo.; daughter Connie (Charles) Neeley of Colorado City; sister Rebecca (Sidney) Gunter of Clemmons, N.C.; niece Beth (Duane) Woods; grandniece Sydney Woods of Lexington, N.C.; aunts Elizabeth Patterson of Green Briar, Tenn., Christine (Allan) Crisp of Tracee City, Tenn., and Zora (Vernon) Johnson of Gruetli-Laager, Tenn.; and uncle, Paul Rankin of Sun City West, Ariz. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Onnie Lee Halsey; son Steven Michael Halsey; and sister Joann Rankin. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Wandas name may be made to the American Lung Association, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 777, Pueblo, CO 81002.
