Waterfowl hunting 101 seminar in Montrose

Learn the fine points of waterfowl hunting at a seminar on Dec. 1 in Montrose. The class will run from noon to 4:30 p.m.

Experts from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Montrose chapter of Ducks Unlimited will provide instruction on all aspects of hunting waterfowl.

Participants will learn about hunting tactics, use of dogs, calling, bird identification, setting decoys and more. The seminar will also include field demonstrations.  

The class will start with classroom instruction at the CPW office in Montrose and then move to an outdoor location for the field work.  

The cost of the class is $10 per person. To sign up, go to the Parks and Wildlife office in Montrose at 2300 South Townsend Ave.
