We don’t need to send our kids to die

Dear Editor,

I urge anyone genuinely concerned about the future well-being of our country and indeed the entire world to contact the White House, their senators and representative to implore Bush and his “Department of Offense” to stop their mad rush to drag our country into a disastrous war of aggression with Iraq.

It’s funny how “far” we have come in one year. Bush , Cheney and Rumsfeld apparently think that anything they say now with respect to “terrorism” is CORRECT and the only way to go. Through relentless propaganda, which is passed on as evidence and justification, the U.S. government is cynically exploiting the patriotism of the American public to gain wide public support for their misadventures. They are underestimating the public’s intelligence and forget that many of us are actually reading national and international newspapers and watch news programs other than the cheerleading networks such as CNN and FOX, whose primary interest is in ratings rather than news.

We don’t need to send our kids to die and waste $1 billion tax dollars a day and counting.

Please contact Washington today to stop this developing tragedy !
