Weather forces Bennet to cancel West Slope trip

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet’s planned trip to the Western Slope has been derailed thanks to the weather.

Bennet’s West Slope “Recovery In Action” town hall tour was going to bring Bennet to Glenwood Springs today. But, citing, hazardous weather conditions along the Interstate 70 corridor, he has canceled the trip.

U.S. Senator Mark Udall will make several stops on the Western Slope on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The senator will be in Rifle on Wednesday. At 11:45 a.m. he will take a tour of Sun Edison Solar Array at 2515 W. Centennial Parkway. At 1 p.m. he will attend the New Energy Communities Initiative meeting at the Garfield County Human Services Building, 195 W. 14th St.
