Garfield County Public Health will be giving free flu shots to school-aged children and their families at the Rifle Public Health Office on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., no appointments necessary. The Rifle office is located at 195 W. 14th St. across from City Market. Call (970) 625-5200 for additional appointment times and dates.

Glenwood Springs Women’s Connection invites all women to brunch from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at AmericInn of Glenwood Springs (at the base of the tram). Jamie Wilkins, a local occupational therapist will help us get a good start on our New Year’s resolutions with information about health and fitness. Speaker Sharon Mueller of Canon City will share inspirational thoughts on “What Type of Container are You and What Do You Contain?” Brunch and program cost $10 or $5 for first-time guests. Colorado Mountain College Theatre will hold open auditions for “All in the Timing” on Jan. 23 and 24 at 6 p.m. in the New Space Theatre at the Spring Valley Center, located at 3000 County Road 114 in Glenwood Springs.

“All in the Timing” is a collection of one-act comedies written by David Ives. The CMC production will include five acts and will be directed by Wendy S. Moore. Performance dates are April 21-23 and April 28-May 1.

Those auditioning should prepare a one- to two-minute comedic monologue of their choice and also be ready to read from the script. Scripts are available for reading at the CMC Spring Valley Quigley Library or the CMC Glenwood Center (1402 Blake Ave.).

Auditions will be videotaped. Since the audition will involve active movement, all are encouraged to dress comfortably. If auditioning, please call the theatre department in advance at 947-8252 to declare your intent to audition or to ask any further questions.

Undergoing a full exterior restoration, guided tours of the Historic Redstone Castle will continue into the summer, Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 1:30 pm. Tickets are available at Tiffany of Redstone, Crystal Club Cafe and Redstone General Store. $15 for adults and $10 for seniors / children over 5 years, free under 5 years.
