‘The Need To Grow’ Movie screening

6:30 p.m. Friday — Screening of the award-winning documentary ‘The Need To Grow,’ hosted by the Roaring Fork Food Alliance, followed by a community dialogue on the local food system. A story of solutions in a race against the end of farmable soil, three individuals fight for change in the industry of agricultural food production, calling for a revolution.

CMC’s Sopris Theatre Company presents ‘The Veil’

7 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday — A defrocked priest, a haunted house, a seance gone awry and a 17-year-old girl forced into marriage to save her mother’s estate — these are all part of Conor McPherson’s “The Veil,” produced by the Sopris Theatre Company. Performances are at the New Space Theatre at CMC’s Spring Valley campus in the Calaway Academic Building.
