Music at the Library: Jazz with Lenore Raphael & Tim Fox

5:30 p.m. Friday — Lenore Raphael, jazz pianist and Steinway jazz artist, has long been an admirer of Oscar Peterson and his duos with Clark Terry. Not only has she admired Terry, she has performed with him as well. She will pay tribute to the renowned duo, Oscar and Clark, in concert with trumpet great Tim Fox and Tim Emmons on bass.

Sopris Theatre Company: ‘Hope and Gravity’

7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday — The comic and tragic “Hope and Gravity” is set in a big city and traces nine lives as they intersect in surprising ways when an elevator dislodges and crashes.

New Space Theatre, Calaway Academic Building, CMC Spring Valley, 3000 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs. $13-$18. Admission is $18 for adults, and $13 for seniors as well as CMC students, employees and graduates.

Live music with New Mamm Creek

7:30 p.m. Friday — A shared love of folk, country, rock and bluegrass brought five friends together to form New Mamm Creek, which delivers an energetic blend of genres.

8:30 p.m. Friday — It’s the melding of hard country songwriting with high-octane bluegrass instrumentation that makes for Wood & Wire’s signature sound.
