Welcome to the new Post Independent website
Do not rub your eyes, do not adjust your monitor, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes.
You’re looking at the new design of Glenwood Springs Post Independent website. Better, worse, the same …? Those opinions are obviously up to you.
We hope the site will be easier for you to navigate and allow you to access information more efficiently, plus it will allow us to provide you with more content, and more unique content.
Besides giving you the daily news, sports and feature content, the site is designed to give readers more information and more chances to use the interactive features.
Features like posting comments, writing blogs, posting photos and videos, and calendar items.
As many of you know, blogs are the wave of the present. The blogshpere of the modern world has developed and grown in popularity at warp speed.
Blogs are simple ” everyone has opinions, now if you’re interested, you can post those opinions directly onto postindependent.com. The appeal of the blog is allowing bloggers the chance to establish their written voice. We will be developing a variety of blog categories for blogs as we go.
By the way, the term blog is slang for web log.
Here’s a change for the website: Anyone who wants to post a blog or comment on a story must register with a valid e-mail address and choose a screen name. Anyone who blogs must also use their real name to do so. Comments will now appear under the writer’s screen name. To register, click on the link to the far right of the Current Features section.
People will also have the opportunity to post photos and videos directly to the website. All photos and videos will appear under the link of the same name at the top of the page. We will be developing photo galleries as we go, including the popular Photo By You category.
We know there’s a reality that comes with change. There will be things that you won’t like about the new site and things that you will like. We hope that you find the changes to be beneficial and better.
As always, we appreciate you picking up the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and visiting postindependent.com.
