Wells Fargo plans new branch at Glenwood Meadows

Glenwood Springs Wells Fargo customers will have a more convenient branch once the bank opens its new office at Glenwood Meadows at the end of the summer. Wells Fargo announced Thursday that it will break ground this month on its new branch at Meadows, slated to open sometime in September, said Wells Fargo spokeswoman Cristie Drumm. The new branch, at 205 E. Meadows Drive, will be 5,000 square feet, and include Wells Fargo consumer and business banking in addition to a mortgage office. “We will have more room for sure,” said Marcia Kent, Wells Fargo community bank president based in Rifle. There will be more room for more bankers, she said. The new branch will include two 24-hour ATM machines and a night drop, but no drive-up window, she said. Glenwood’s current 2,000-square-foot Wells Fargo branch in the Roaring Fork Marketplace will close when the new branch opens.Wells Fargo has 135 branches in 55 communities in Colorado, with more than 6,200 branches worldwide.
