Wesley J. Patterson, 77, passed away Sept. 11, 2007, at the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle. He was born March 19, 1930, in Ufalla, Okla., to Oliver and Viola (Vanderpool) Patterson. Wesley served in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Korea. He married Shirley Ann Huser in 1954. Wesley is survived by sons John Patterson of New Castle and Robert Patterson of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters Debra Longino of Luray, Va., and Sherry (Cheryl) L. (Patterson) Enright of Shawnee, Kan.; brother Bud Vanderpool; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; and sister Billy Cooper.Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread by the family. Farnum Holt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
