What the statement says
The full text of a joint statement issued Friday by the city of Glenwood Springs and Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association:”The City of Glenwood Springs has withdrawn its request for additional information from the Glenwood Spring Chamber Resort Association regarding questions about the Chamber’s administration of the Tourism Promotion Contract. Both parties acknowledge that differing expectations under the current contract led to this contract dispute. The parties will work to correct these problems in the 2006 Tourism Promotion Contract.”The City initiated a review of the expenditures this summer in response to allegations by former Chamber employees. Due to the nature of the allegations made, the City was compelled to review records related to the expenditures within the Tourism Promotion Fund. This review was conducted over a period of several months. It should be emphasized that staff and members and the Board of the Chamber Resort Association were extremely cooperative and helpful during this review.”The City and the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association are looking forward to continuing their partnership and successfully marketing the City of Glenwood Springs as a choice Colorado destination.”
