Art works by Janet Nelson are now on display at the Gordon Cooper Library in Carbondale. Marble Charter School art students work is displayed in the conference room of the library. It includes a triptych “Our Vision of Marble” by a group of older students. Their work is the result of a workshop with local artist Julie Lang and a grant from the Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities.Art works by Glenwood Springs artist Mary Noone are now hanging in the Village Smithy in Carbondale through June 9.

The Glenwood Springs High School Jazz Band and Friends will play at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. Featuring Jan Garrett, Chris Bank, Bill Parish and the Denver jazz group, Convergence. Free. In case of rain, the concert will be in the GSHS multipurpose room.
