Photographs by former Valley View Hospital ER Nurse Teeny Jeung are now on display in the main hall of the hospital. The exhibit includes pictures taken by Jeung on her world travels and pictures of her. The exhibit runs through November.Red Brick Center for the Arts presents a month-long exhibit featuring the work of the “Roaring Fork Renegades.” Artists included in this exhibit are: Eric Auer, Anna Binkley, Beth Boylston, Linda Fleming, Marcia Fusaro, Lyn Hemley, Joan Leatherbury, Sue Binkley Tatem, Wendi Smith, Leslye Steadman, and Georgeann Waggaman. The Children’s Choir of St. Stephen’s Catholic School will perform Saturday, Oct. 19 and every third Saturday at the 5 p.m. Mass. The Glenwood Springs Community Concert Association kicks off its music season with Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Cornet Band at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Glenwood Springs High School auditorium. A skate park is coming to Battlement Mesa, featuring a grind box, quarter-pipes and fun boxes. It is now being installed at St. John’s Middle School, 460 Stone Quarry Rd. Esma Lewis Elementary School in Rifle will host its annual ESL picnic at the Esma Lewis Elementary cafeteria at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, and will feature hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, door prizes and a lot of information for the parents of non-English speaking students.
