Carbondale Elementary School will host a dedication for the recently completed tile mural project from 1:45-2:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, in front of the elementary school at 600 S. 3rd. The mural is the third in a series of public art projects sponsored by the Carbondale Clay Center. The dedication will feature student artists from Carbondale Elementary as well as project mentors Ro Mead and Julie Hawkins. Such community outreach projects are made possible, in part, by the Aspen Valley Community Foundation Spring Board and the Colorado Council on the Arts.

Glenwood Music hosts Wednesday Night Live, a local musicians’ showcase from 8 to 10 p.m. This Wednesday, Oct. 23, will feature Scooze playing rock and roll. Limited seating. Free admission. 809 Grand Avenue, 928-8628.
