Wilfred L. "Bill" Silvius

Wilfred L. “Bill” Silvius of Apache Junction, Ariz., died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at Apache Junction. He was 90.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 1, in Apache Junction. A memorial will be held at a later date in Grand Junction.

Mr. Silvius was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Baron, Wis., to Mary and Lewis Silvius. He spent his childhood in Rice Lake, Wis.

He married Naomi Anderson on March 21, 1934, in Dallas, Wis.

Mr. Silvius worked as a finish carpenter for many years in the Aspen, Vail and Glenwood Springs areas. He lived in Basalt, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction and Two Harbors, Minn.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Glenwood Springs and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and taking care of his family.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Silvius.

Mr. Silvius is survived by his wife, Naomi Silvius of Apache Junction, Ariz.; by a daughter, Lynette Swanson of Grand Junction; by a son-in-law, Mike Swanson of Two Harbors, Minn.; and by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
