William Jasura

William Jasura, 93, of Pinconning, Mich., passed away June 6, 2009, at Grace Healthcare in Glenwood Springs. He had been living with Monica and Richard Blake (his daughter’s family) for the last seven years.
Born in Sparta, Minn., on Sept. 6, 1915, his family moved to Michigan in 1920. William was the oldest of nine children, and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska for 42 months.
Besides his daughter Monica, he is survived by his sons Jerry (Renee) Jasura of Pinconning, Mich., and Bill Jasura Jr. of Pflugerville, Texas; his daughters Michele (Kerry) Lewis of San Diego and Joanne (Nic) Haproff of Vista, Calif.; grandchildren Paul Jasura, Wendy (Chris) Pagnier, Samantha, Andrew and Ryan Blake, Peter and Jacob Haproff, and Kerah and Hayden Lewis; and his great-grandchildren, Emma and Madeline Pagnier.
