Woman’s shooting death investigated as suicide

Glenwood Springs police received a call March 28 from a man who was concerned about his ex-girlfriend. When officers arrived at the Glenwood Springs residence, the officers reported that the woman appeared all right, but did not want to talk to them. Some nearby friends and neighbors reportedly told police they would talk to her, keep an eye on her and call if they found any reason for concern.

The next day, police responded to the same address for a report of a suicidal person. Upon arrival, the person was found to be shot. A suicide investigation is pending.
