Women are still being discriminated against
Dear Editor,
I did not think that we still lived in the Stone Age Days. We are in the day of everything goes. Then why are women still being discriminated against? A national survey says woman are still making less money than men and still get treated differently. It says in the job application when you apply for a job, “We do not discriminate against anyone.” Then why are woman still getting treated different?
I worked for a company for two and a half years and got fired because I was told I was too aggressive. I thought that would be a good thing. I worked very hard for this company and tried very hard to make them money. I was there to help them, but when it came down to helping me, they would not. They discriminated against me.
When you work in public service, no matter what the job, you always help the customer. Often customers would come in and some of the employees would be standing there and ignore them. Tell those people maybe they should not stab other people in the back so they can have a job.
Sincerely,
