Workday today for JoJo Smith and family

Friends of the Richard “Jo Jo” Smith are holding a work day starting at 8 a.m. today at the Smith home, 1227 Pitkin Ave.

Jo Jo, a Vietnam veteran, was exposed to Agent Orange after two tours in Vietnam and suffers from cancer of the brain and lungs, in addition to other diseases. His wife, Dorothy, recently had double bypass surgery and also has diabetes and asthma.

Funds are also needed to help with medical expenses and other pressing debts. Those wishing to donate may go to any Alpine Bank and ask for the Richard Jo Jo Smith Benefit Account.
