WRNF officials seek public comment on road work north of Rifle

RIFLE ” Officials with the White River National Forest are seeking public comment on a proposal to develop sites for removing road material to maintain a road system on Coulter Mesa north of Rifle.

The Rifle Ranger District within the national forest is proposing to develop two or three sites for the removed road material. The sites are located at Bear Lake, Cattleguard and Orphan Springs, which are all located on or below Coulter Mesa and just off forest road 832.

Comments on the proposal will be accepted through March 14. Please send your comments to the Rifle Ranger District, 0094 County Road 244, Rifle, CO 81650.
