Bojar Jaromir Voda

Bojar Jaromir Voda (69) died the evening of Monday, March 13th, 2017, with his beautiful and loving partner, Monica, at his side. His journey was quite an interesting and amazing one, to say the least. There is no way to put into words just how much he meant to us and to so many others.

He was born in what was then called Czechoslovakia. He and his family left so much behind in order to escape communism when he was a young man; destination North America. He had an appreciation for life experiences-this was a trait that came natural. If you knew him, you knew this about him. And you also knew, that those life experiences meant that there was an ocean of knowledge that he was so very happy to share with you.

On several occasions, Bojar disassembled broken cars, televisions, computers, appliances, watches, cameras, cell phones and so-on and was always able to get them mostly back together and have them working again. He was an excellent baker and was known to bring a fresh loaf of bread or delicious pastries randomly, way too early in the morning to your house, unannounced just because he felt like it. He was musically talented and helped his children make sounds with instruments that almost sounded like music. When he skied, he always reminded us of James Bond. He loved being outside, even if it was way too freaking cold or wet or early. It seemed that every one of his many business ventures, at least at some point, was successful and thriving. You really could have asked him ANYTHING, and he would have had an answer, with confidence. He knew about the topic at hand because at one point in his life, he was interested in it as well.

If you are fortunate enough to have experienced some life with him, you’re more than welcome to attend a celebration of his life. It will be held on Saturday, March 25th, from 2-5pm. Methodist Church, 824 Cooper Ave., Glenwood Springs (Downstairs Rear Entrance).

Many of his children, grandchildren and friends that all loved him will be there and would like it if you came.
