Dennis Hayden Christie (January 24, 1966 – April, 20, 2017)

Dennis Hayden Christie of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, passed away suddenly on April, 20, 2017. He is survived by his parents, John H. Christie and Carol J. Christie of Arlington, Texas; his older brother Terry J. Christie and sister-in-law Lisa M. Christie of Helotes, Texas; his younger sister Nora C. Puckett, brother-in-law Fredric C. Puckett, niece Penelope C. Puckett, and nephew Frederic H. Puckett of Ennis, Texas.

Dennis was born on January 24, 1966, in Plainfield, New Jersey, where he lived until 1979 when his family moved to Arlington, Texas. From 1987-1992 he served in the U.S. Army as Combat Engineer with NATO Forces, and received numerous commendations for his service. He learned to ski while based in Germany. His love of skiing and the outdoors led Dennis to Colorado where he spent his free time biking, hiking, kayaking, spelunking, and exploring the world around him. Like his parents, he loved to travel and study history, and enjoyed sharing his discoveries with his niece and nephew.

Dennis was a kind, thoughtful, and loving person who was devoted to his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will take place in Arlington, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the United Service Organization at USO/DFW, P.O. Box 613306, DFW Airport, Texas, 75261.
