Donald Elmer Haff

Donald Elmer Haff was born March 19, 1949 in Glenwood Springs to Glen Alden Haff and Rose Zella (Gould) Haff. Donald passed away May 28, 2016 from complications of pneumonia. Donald contracted encephalitis at the age of 18 months which left him developmentally disabled. He lived in the loving home of his family until 8 years ago, since then he has been in a group home in the care of Mountain Valley Development.

With a heart of gold his capacity for loving everyone was amazing. His favorite things were family, any animals and John Wayne. He had a great sense of humor with an infectious giggle and smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Donald was so good and kind he was surely a child of God and has gone home to his arms. We will all miss his loving ways.

Donny was preceded in death by both parents. He leaves behind a brother Richard Haff & Karen from Glenwood Springs, sister Glenda Waker & Bob from Craig, and sister Tamar Drager & Duane from Fort Collins. He also leaves 6 nieces and 1 nephew along with numerous great nieces and nephews and extended family. Also his many wonderful friends at Mountain Valley.

Services will be June 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glenwood Springs. Burial will be at Fisher Cemetery next to his parents.
