Jeremiah (Jay) James Wilson (December 21, 1985 – February 3, 2019)

Our beloved Jeremiah (Jay) James Wilson passed away on February 3, 2019, before his time. Born December 21, 1985 in Glenwood Springs, CO to Jim and Gail Wilson. He was raised in Rifle, CO. Jay graduated from Rifle High School in 2004 and went on to Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ. There he completed his Associates degree in auto and diesel mechanics, with honors. Jay married the love of his life, Bridget Peters on July 23, 2010. Their son Elliott was born in April 2013. Jay loved the adventures he had with his wife and son. Together, they loved camping, fishing, hunting and skiing. Nothing made him happier than being with family and friends. Jay enjoyed 10 years in 4-H with many County and State awards and shared those joys and passions with his son Elliott. Jay was a Master Technician for Dodge Chrysler for over 13 years and was currently employed with Berthod Motors in Glenwood Springs, CO. He was well respected for his expertise and work ethic. Jay was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and son. He is survived by his wife, Bridget; son, Elliott; father and mother, Jim and Gail Wilson; sisters: Sarah Wilson, Jenny (Nick) Aullman; nieces: Abbi Wilson, Willow, Remington and Ridglynn Aullman; mother-in-law, Colleen Peters: father-in-law, Blaine Peters; brothers-in-law: Tommy and Jeff Peters. May GOD rest your soul until we are together again! Memorial Services will be on Saturday, February 9th at 1:00pm at the Garfield County Fairgrounds Event Hall in Rifle. Please wear your plaid shirt and cowboy boots in honor of Jay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elliott Wilson at Wells Fargo Bank in Rifle.
