Keagan Stanley Heald

Keagan Stanley Heald passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2015. Keagan was born August 4, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. During his four short weeks of life, Keagan touched many lives. He was born into a combined family, being the sixth child. He was the baby that made our family whole. He was perfect in every way. Keagan has five brothers who loved him very much. Keagan loved his brothers and enjoyed having them hold, feed and talk to him. Those four short weeks were the best days of our lives. He was loved by all who knew him. He had wonderful grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that loved showing him off and spending time with him. He spent his nights with his mom and dad. He loved taking baths at night and showing off his big, beautiful, hazel eyes. Keagan changed who we are, and we will never understand why we lost such a precious boy. Keagan is survived by his parents, Leroy and Samantha Heald; his brothers, Preston, Ashton, Daymion, Camdyn and Logan Heald; grandparents, Priscilla Heald (Rifle), John and Gail Diaz (Rifle), and Kevin and Ami Thompson (Grand Junction); several cousins, aunts, and uncles. Keagan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Heald. There will be a celebration of Keagan’s life on September 19, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Wamsley Elementary in Rifle. Guests are asked to bring their favorite appetizer, and in honor of Keagan, please do not wear black. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Samantha or LeRoy Heald, 2519 Meadow Circle in Rifle. There are also donation jars set in several local businesses. “No foot is too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
