Lawrence S. Koons II

Lawrence S. Koons II, 77, went home to be with Jesus on October 5, 2015. He was born to Lawrence S.I and Melba Koons, on May 26, 1938, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a retired truck driver and executive salesman for many years. He was a devoted and involved member of God of No Limits Church.

Larry graduated from Stephen F. Austin College with a degree in Forestry. After marrying the love of his life, Judy, he started a family to whom he devoted all of his time. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and playing golf. Larry loved racing dune buggy and Lotus. He was very adventurous. His greatest adventure was his walk with the Lord. A devoted deacon, prayer warrior and an incredibly sensitive and loving man; Larry will be greatly missed, loved and forever remembered!

Larry was preceded in death by his brother James Koons of Austin, Tx. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy; daughter Rusty (Mike), son Larry (Sue), seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sister in-laws, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at God of No Limits Church, 7200 S. Walker, Oklahoma City, OK at 3:00 pm. Food and fellowship will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church would be greatly appreciated.
